CBSE UGC NET 2018 Official Notification Released

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released UGC NET 2018 official notification on the official website, cbsenet.nic.in

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates must have acquired at least 55 per cent in master's degree or equivalent examination from a recognised university or institute.

Candidates who are persuing their Master's degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master's degree examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been delayed may also apply for this subject.

Age limit:

Junior Research Fellowship: The age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years as on July 1, 2018.

Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Examination fee:
General: Rs 1000
Other backward classes (Non-creammy layer): Rs 500
SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: Rs 250

Scheme and date of test:
The exam will consist of two following papers:
Paper 1 shall consist of 50 questions objective type compulsory questions each carrying two marks. The exam will be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper 2 shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying two mark. This exam will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

All the questions of Paper – II will be compulsory, covering entire syllabi of earlier Paper II & Paper – III (including all electives, without options).

2. Last date for Applying Online :- 05/04/2018

3. Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank challan, at any branch of (Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank) or through credit/debit card :- 06/04/2018

4. Correction in Particulars of application form on the website :- 25/04/2018 to 01/05/2018

5. Date of Examination :- 08/07/2018
