UPSC HIRING : Aeronautical Officer, Scientist 'B' and other posts

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification inviting all the interested, eligible candidates for Assistant Commissioner (Crops), Aeronautical Officer, Scientist 'B' (Mechanical), Junior Scientific Officer (Explosive) and Assistant Chemist.
All the interested, eligible candidates can apply for the same on the official website, the link for which is upsconline.nic.in
The last date to apply for the same is February 15.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Educational qualification required

Assistant Commissioner (Crops):
All the candidates interested in applying need to possess a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Extension or Agronomy or Entomology or Nematology or Genetics and Plant Breeding or Agriculture Botany or Plant Bio-technology or Plant Pathology or Plant Physiology or Seed Science and Technology or Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry.
Candidates should also have three years experience in the area of production and productivity in food or cash crops, e.g. rice or wheat or pulse or millet or sugarcane or cotton or jute or oilseeds in a Central Government or State Government office or Public Sector Undertaking or autonomous body or any recognised institution. Or
Candidates should posses a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognised University /Institute with four years experience in the area of production and productivity in food or cash crops, e.g., rice or wheat or pulse or millet or sugarcane or cotton or jute or oilseeds in a Central Government or State Government office or Public Sector Undertaking or autonomous body or any recognised institution.
Aeronautical Officer:
Interested candidates need to possess a degree in Aeronautical or Electrical/Electronics/ Mechanical/Metallurgical engineering from a recognised university.
Also, candidates should have two year's experience in aircraft design and development including aircraft electrical or electronics or mechanical systems or airworthiness engineering.

  • Go to the official website of UPSC, upsconline.nic.in
  • Click on 'ONLINE RECRUITMENT APPLICATION (ORA) FOR VARIOUS RECRUITMENT POSTS'
  • Click on the 'Apply Now' tab
  • Enter all the required details in the prescribed format
  • Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference.

APPLICATION FEE:

Candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs 25 to apply for any post.

PAY SCALE:

  • Assistant Commissioner (Crops): Rs 1,56,00 to 3,91,00 (PB 3) plus Rs 6,600 (Grade Pay) (Revised to pay matrix level no 11 of 7th CPC)
  • Aeronautical Officer: Level 10 of the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.
  • Scientist 'B' (Mechanical): As per 7th CPC Level 10 (Rs 5, 61, 00 to 1, 77,500) in the Pay Matrix.
  • Assistant Chemist: As per 7th CPC Level 8 (Rs 47,600 to 1, 51,100) in the Pay Matrix.
