Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has invited applications from GATE 2017 qualified candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer Trainee in the disciplines of Electrical, Electronics, Civil and Computer Science at E1 trainee level.

Selection Process:-
Candidates would be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview on the basis of their GATE 2018 score. Candidates must qualify in the Personal Interview to be considered for empanelment. The qualifying per cent in interview is 40% for unreserved category candidates and 30% for SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL)/ PwD candidates. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of 85% weightage to marks scored in GATE 2018, 3% weightage to marks scored in Group Discussion, and 12% weightage to marks scored in Personal Interview.

Compensation Package:-

The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package and is one of the best in the Industry. Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated stipend of RS. 24500/- per month. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Engineers at E1 and placed in the pay scale of Rs. 20600-46500(due for revision). The approximate CTC per annum after completion of training is Rs. 12.8 LPA

From 27.01.2018 onwards, interested and eligible candidates have to register themselves online, irrespective of the applications made earlier for any other post/recruitment process in POWERGRID, at POWERGRID website www.powergridindia.com with details of their GATE-2017 registration number and other required information. Last Date of Online application and Application Fee submission is 17.02.2018.
