Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has invited applications for admissions to their MTech course in various disciplines for the session 2015. The interested and eligible candidates are required to apply by March 31.
Eligibility criteria:
Candidates applying for the admissions should have acquired a first class degree or they should have obtained at least 60 per cent (55 per cent marks for SC/ST) in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering)/M.Sc/ MCA/MBBS/M.Pharm/B.Pharm (four year degree)/BDS (4 year degree)/associate membership examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies (like Institution of engineers (India), institute of chemical engineers, aeronautical society of india, institute of electronics & telecommunication engineers, indian institute of metals etc.) and recognised as equivalent to BE/ B.Tech degree.
Application fee:
Candidates will be required to pay an application fee in the following format:
GN/OBCÂNC male candidates: Rs 300
Third gender (T) candidates: Rs 300
GN/OBCÂNC female candidates: Rs 150
SC/ST male candidates: Rs 150
SC/ST female candidates: Rs 150
The fees shall be paid by debit card/credit card/SBI internet banking/online payment system/demand draft drawn on any nationalized bank (preferably State Bank of India/Canara Bank) in favour of "Registrar, IIT Bombay", payable at Mumbai branch.
Selection process:
Candidates will be short listed on the basis of their GATE score. Candidates having an IIT B.Tech degree and having a CGPA/CPI score of 8 on 10 are exempted from requirement of GATE qualification.
