Director-The candidate must have an extra first class engineer certificate of competency or extra master.
Associate professor- The candidate must have a master's degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent from any recognised university.
Assistant professor- The candidate must have a master's degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent from any recognised university. The candidate must have cleared NET, SLET or SET.
Experience
Director- The candidate must have a sailing experience of minimum two years and a minimum experience of 12 years in teaching maritime institutions.
Associate professor- The candidate must have an experience of minimum 13 years in a management position in university.
Assistant professor- No such experience is required.
Age
Director- The candidate must not be more than 60 years.
Associate professor- The candidate must not be more than 50 years.
Assistant professor- The candidate must not be more than 40 years.
