Eligibility criteria for Engineering and Architecture courses of ComedK UGET 2015

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (ComedK) has invited applications from candidates for its Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET), held for admission to various medical, engineering, dental and architecture programmes for the session 2015.
The exam is scheduled to be held on May 10.
Eligibility criteria for candidates wishing to take admission to Engineering and Architecture programmes is mentioned below:
Engineering courses:
The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for BE/B. Arch is second PUC or Class 12 or equivalent examination recognised by state/central government; the last two years of study should comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.
The general merit candidates should have passed having acquired at least an aggregate of 45 per cent marks (40 per cent in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or any other technical vocational courses as one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE will be adopted.
Diploma candidates are not eligible to sit for the exam as there are no lateral entry admissions.
Architecture courses:
The prescribed qualifying examination for admission to B. Arch course is second PUC or Class 12 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 diploma recognised by central/state government. The candidates should have obtained at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate (45 per cent in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC category of Karnataka).
The candidates should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture having acquired a minimum score of 80 out of 200 marks for both general merit and category students.
The candidates should note that those seeking admissions to B.Arch courses will have to submit separate applications as no entrance test will be conducted for these students.
