JEEE 2015 Criteria for admissions to engineering institutes

Joint Entrance Examination JEE 2015 will be conducted on April 4, 10 and 11 April in both online and offline modes.  JEE Main is the gateway for admissions to engineering colleges in India. All the IITs, NITs and other central funded technical institutes directly participate in the exam.
The entrance examination is being conducted into two parts, JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. Candidates who clear IIT-JEE main examination are eligible to appear for IIT-JEE advance which provides and entry to IITs. It is jointly conducted by IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay. Aspirants can appear for JEE advance exam for a maximum of two consecutive years and not more than that.
The candidate must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. Category wise, the candidates should have secured 75 percent (for GEN or OBC-NCL) or 70 percent (SC, ST or PwD) of aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. The marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, language and any one subject other than these four is considered if it fulfills the top 20 percentile criterion.  
The top 20 percentile cut-off marks of the respective Boards in 2014 will be considered for candidates who passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2014, provided the candidate does not reappear for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2015 in any of the subjects.
