UPSC released list of applications submitted: Junior Scientific Officer

Union Public Service Commission has released a list of candidates whose applications have been accepted for the post of Junior Scientific Officer. UPSC invited applications for recruitment at the post of 'junior scientific officers'. The interested and eligible candidates were required to apply by February 12.

Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualifications:
The candidates applying for this post should have done MSc in Microbiology from a recognised university or institute. Or the candidates should have done MSc in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology/Microbiology/Mycology from a recognised university or institute or they should have done MSc in Agriculture with specialization in Soil Science/Agricultural Chemistry/Agronomy/ Microbiology/Plant Pathology/Horticulture/Agriculture Extension from a recognised university or institute.
Age limit: 
The candidates applying for the post should not have attained the age of 35 years.
Duties: 
Testing of biofertilisers, organic manures, vermi-culture and different organic inputs in laboratory, isolation and authentication of different strains of effective microorganisms related with organic farming, organisation of training programmes on organic farming, organisation of field demonstration programmes on organic farming, preparation of technical literature on organic farming.
Probation Period: Two years
Pay scale: Rs 9,300-34,800 (PB-2) plus Rs 4,600 (Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding TA and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs 34,280 per month approximately)
