State Bank of India (SBI), one of the largest banks in the country has invited applications for recruitment at 2,886 posts. The candidates will be short listed at the post of Probationary Officers (PO) at various SBI associate bank branches, across the nation. Phase II of the selection process, for the same, is scheduled to commence from tomorrow i.e. February 16. Phase I (written test) was conducted in the month of November. The written test carried 250 marks (200 marks objective test and 50 marks descriptive test).
Phase II consists of a group discussion and interview round. GD carries 20 marks and the interview round holds 30 marks. The call letters for GD cum interview and bio-data form have already been released.

Out of the total candidates to be short listed, 415 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 533 seats for Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, 743 are booked for candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) category and 1, 295 are for the general category candidates.

Marks secured by the candidates in the written test (out of 250 marks) will be converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion and Interview (out of 50 marks) will be converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of written test and group discussion and Interview out of 100 for each category.
