Punjab state board matriculation exams from Feb 25

Punjab state board has released the exam dates for the matriculation exam to be held in March. The exams are scheduled to start from March 17 and will end on March 31. There is no gap for the papers in the exam schedule. However, only two papers are given two days preparatory leave, i.e exams falling on 21 February and 27 February.

Matriculation exam is held to qualify students for 10th board exams.

The students are required to check the timings before they appear for the exam. The board prescribes syllabus, courses of instructions and text books for school education in Punjab besides conducting examinations based on courses listed. The Punjab School Education Board came into existence through a legislative enactment in November 1969 for the development and promotion of school education in the state of Punjab. In 1987, the Vidhan Sabha amended the Board's Act to grant it autonomy. The scope of Board's functions is very wide and covers almost every aspect/stage of school education.
