Ministry of defence invited application for the post

The Indian Coast Guard has invited applications for the post of Navik General Duty. The profile is only for unmarried male Indian nationals.
Post:
Name of the post: Navik General Duty.
Education Qualifications:
Applicants should have an aggregate of 60 per cent and minimum 60 per cent each in Maths and Physics, in class X and XII from recognized board.(5 per cent relaxation for SC/ ST candidates and wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.)
Age limit:
Applicants should be from 18 years to 22 years old. (Upper limit age relaxation of five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates).
Selection Procedure:
Applicants will be selected on the basis of written exam in the following pattern .
Maths, Physics, basic Chemistry, knowledge of English up to 12th standard, general knowledge, current affairs, quantitative aptitude and reasoning.
Those who qualify the written test, will appear for a Physical Fitness Test(PFT).
It will comprise of:-
 1.6 km run to be completed in seven minutes.
 20 squats.

10 push ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Interested and eligible applicants should fill the application form online in a defined format and submit it to the official address from February 2 to February 10, 2015.
